Holafly eSIM has no signal abroad
Symptom
Your Holafly plan is installed and shows in cellular settings, but the line displays "No Service" or "Searching…" in your destination country. The plan can't connect to any local network.
Likely causes
- The plan hasn't been switched on as the active data line.
- Your device is carrier-locked and rejects third-party eSIMs.
- The underlying carrier doesn't have coverage at your specific location (e.g. rural area).
- The eSIM hasn't been activated for the destination country yet — some Holafly plans activate when you first arrive.
Step-by-step fix
- 1Confirm your device is eSIM-compatible and unlocked.
- 2Toggle Airplane mode on for 10 seconds, then off — this forces a network re-scan.
- 3Settings → Cellular → tap Holafly line → Network Selection → Automatic.
- 4If Automatic doesn't pick a network, try selecting one manually.
- 5Reboot the device.
- 6If still no signal after 30 minutes in the destination, contact Holafly's 24/7 chat for a network reset on their side.
